This studio examines systems and structures as frameworks for design methods, processes, and outcomes. Students broaden their practice relative to scale, context, conditions, and effect.

Course Theme and overall objectives
This core course offers a deep dive into the theoretical and practical aspects of graphic design, emphasizing a critical and systematic approach to the discipline.

Students will engage in comprehensive research to identify and develop systematic models, learning to apply these frameworks within the context of design. The course fosters personal criticality by encouraging students to evaluate and challenge existing ideas, values, and institutions, pushing the boundaries of conventional design thinking.

Through hands-on projects, students will refine their ability to articulate ideas effectively through visual mediums. They will also be trained in utilizing analytical frameworks to interpret collected data, transforming insights into compelling graphic and narrative formats. By the end of the course, students will have developed a robust set of skills that enable them to approach graphic design with a critical, inclusive, and systematic mindset.
