Ontology of the Letter: Infinite Practice
Ontology of the Letter: Infinite Practice emerges from research into the Hurufiyya movement, with a particular focus on the Khartoum School in Sudan. The work explores script as a site for embodying mystical and existential experience, where geometric structure, and repetition become a language of infinite practice. The phrase «تتداخل الحروف في حركة متناغمة، محمولة بإيقاع بصري يجسد وجوداً لانهائياً يتجاوز حدود الزمان والنهاية» unfolds through repetition and interconnected letterforms. Drawing from mashq(Arabic:مَشْق) calligraphic practice sheets and developed in response to Mulla Sadra (Al-Shirazi)’s conception of existence as dynamic and continually in motion.
