Design and Resilience examines how creative practice can respond to contemporary local and global challenges, from sustainability and climate change to questions of identity, community, education, comfort, and dignity. The issue brings together creative practices across design, art, film, music, photography, food, and fashion to explore how creativity can become a tool for resilience, empowerment, organization, and self-assertion.
I worked with Pornprapha Phatanateacha on the design of the second edition of the Al Journal, developing a new editorial layout and leading the Arabic design and typographic treatment of the publication. The work focused on establishing a cohesive bilingual reading experience while maintaining a visual rhythm across the journal's diverse content.
I also supervised a team of student interns throughout the design process, guiding their contributions and coordinating their work as part of the publication's development.
