-162°C is the temperature at which natural gas becomes liquid, shrinking its volume by 600 times, becoming a convenient commodity to trade. Japan is the top LNG purchaser for Qatar. Although the agreement appears to be mostly economic, the unique connection between the two countries impacts lifestyle, environmental and geopolitical issues.

This research investigates the implications of this trade, and translates it into generated material printed by a kinetic installation.

Joint project and exhibition by the Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology and VCUarts Qatar hosted at the Firestation as part of the 10th edition of Tasmeem Doha, a biennial international Art + Design conference.
