-162°C is the temperature at which natural gas becomes liquid, shrinking its volume by 600 times, becoming a convenient commodity to trade. Japan is the top LNG purchaser for Qatar. Although the agreement appears to be mostly economic, the unique connection between the two countries impacts lifestyle, environmental and geopolitical issues.
This research investigates the implications of this trade,
and translates it into generated material printed by a kinetic installation.
